ASDIN List-Serve Subscription Info

     

    To Subscribe to the ASDIN List-serve (if your ASDIN membership is not current, please go to www.asdin.org and renew before subscribing to the list-serve. Your membership must be current!)
     
    1. Go to:  http://asdinls.org/mailman/listinfo/asdin
     
    2. Complete the section entitled Subscribing to ASDIN by entering your email address, your name (optional) and entering and confirming a password. 

    3. To Digest or Not to Digest? On this screen you will also have the option of selecting a daily digest of email activity on the list-serve. “Would you like to receive list mail batched in a daily digest?” ASDIN recommends that you mark "No." In order to be an active participant in specific email threads you do not want the digest option. If you do select yes, the digest option batches all of the activity on the list-serve and sends it to you once the size of the email traffic has reached a certain threshold or at least daily. Once the accumulated individual emails reach a certain size you get a compilation of those emails or if the email messages don't reach a certain size, you get a daily email with the list-serve traffic for that day.  Also, embedded images and attachments do not display in or as attachments to the digest. They simply display as links at the bottom of the digest.   If you simply want to monitor the email traffic and limit the actual number of emails received daily from the list-serve, then do select the digest option. Please note that you can manage your subscription options and move back and forth between digest and no digest as many times as you choose. 

    4. Once you have entered your email address and completed the password set-up and confirm, you should then select “Subscribe.” Your request for access will be forwarded to the list administrator to verify that your ASDIN membership is current. Once the administrator confirms your subscription you will receive an email notifying you that you are now subscribed to the list. 

    5. Please be patient!  Your confirmation email may take up to 24-48 hours.

    6.  Upon receipt of the email, you will receive instructions on posting messages, unsubscribing and changing your personal subscription settings for the list.


    To Manage Your ASDIN List-serve Subscription 

    1.  Go to: http://asdinls.org/mailman/listinfo/asdin

    2. Go to the ASDIN Subscribers section of the page. To unsubscribe from the list-serve, get a password reminder, or change your subscription options enter your subscription email address in the space provided. 

    3. Select the “Unsubscribe or Edit Option” button 

    4. You will then be taken to a screen that requests your password. On this screen you can unsubscribe or ask for an email password reminder. 

    5. Enter your password and select Log-In. 

    6. Once you are successfully logged in, you will have the option of changing your email address, changing your name, changing your password, and update your subscription options, including digest delivery and other individual delivery options.
    If you ever want to unsubscribe or change your options (eg, switch to or from digest mode, change your password, etc.), visit your subscription page at: http://asdinls.org/mailman/listinfo/asdin

    You can also make such adjustments via email by sending a message to: ASDIN-request@asdinls.org with the word 'help' in the subject or body (don't include the quotes), and you will get back a message with instructions.   You will receive a reminder of your ASDIN list-serve password once every month, although you can disable this if you prefer. This reminder will also include instructions on how to unsubscribe or change your account options. There is also a button on your options page that will email your current password to you.
