LAST CALL FOR ABSTRACTS - DEADLINE Extended to January 20th!
We have received a great response to-date (on deadline) for abstract submissions, gadgets and cases, but the Program Chairs asked that the deadline be extended to next Friday - January 20th to allow an opportunity for greater participation. Abstracts already submitted may also be edited and additions made through the extended deadline. Information for each category of submission is below. Call for Abstract Submissions
Abstracts are NOW being accepted for the 8th Annual ASDIN Scientific Meeting. To learn more, visit the Call for Abstracts section on the ASDIN website. All abstract submissions must be submitted NO LATER THAN 11:30 pm PST on Friday, January 20, 2012. Authors will be notified by email of acceptance as soon as possible following review.
Six (6) abstracts will be selected for podium presentation on Saturday, February 25th. Awards will be presented for the top judged oral and poster presentations. Award selection will be based on the quality of the project and submission.
Deadline for Application: Abstracts must be submitted electronically online at: https://cmt.research.microsoft.com/ASDIN2012/ no later than 11:30 pm PST on Friday, January 20, 2012. If you have any problems with the submission site, please submit directly to firstname.lastname@example.org. Submissions not meeting guidelines will not be reviewed.
Call for Interesting Cases
If you have interesting, intriguing or unusual/atypical cases, ASDIN invites you to submit them for possible inclusion in the case discussion session to be held Saturday, February 25th at the ASDIN 8th Annual Scientific Meeting. Consider submitting cases that fall within these topic areas:
"I have been there!” – clinical cases of “near-miss” moments
"How I did it.” – clinical cases with great teaching value
"The worst? or the best fistula?” - clinical cases that could fool you!
Please redact all patient identifiers from your radiographs. Please make note if you wish to keep authorship/provenance anonymous. Please submit via email to the attention of Steven Wu, MD at email@example.com by Friday, January 20, 2012.
Cases will be judged and a monetary award will be provided for cases placing first, second and third.
Call for Gadgets
The American Society of Diagnostic and Interventional Nephrology (ASDIN) is currently soliciting abstracts for a breakout GADGETS session. This session is designed to give the ASDIN Annual Scientific Meeting participants an opportunity to learn about the important new devices and procedures that are in development, through collaboration of science, engineering and medicine. The breakout session is scheduled for: Saturday, February 25, 2012 from 3:15 p.m. - 4:45 p.m.
We would like to extend an invitation to all of our members and industry partners to submit an application to present a 10 minute summary (with 5 minutes of questions from the audience) of a novel technology as described below:
- Presentation submission must be in the form of an abstract of less than 500 words describing the background, methods of investigation, results of testing, and discussion. Please submit in Word or PowerPoint format.
- Presentation must be given by scientific representative from clinical practice, academia or industry (engineer, PhD, MD or equivalent)
- Devices (therapeutic, diagnostic, or informatic in nature) that are not commercially available or marketed at the time of application will be considered for inclusion in the session
- Abstracts received on or before the following deadline will be considered: Friday, January 20, 2012.
