This course is an opportunity for fellows in nephrology to learn from world-renowned faculty members and experts in the field of interventional nephrology. 

Learning methods include case studies and didactic lectures along with hands-on workshops and simulation training followed by 2 days of lectures at the ASDIN Annual Scientific Meeting.

9:30 am – 10:00 am Case Discussion 2: PD catheter: managing dysfunction
Rajeev Narayan, MD - Review problems causing poor catheter flow and external cuff extrusion 

10:00 am – 10:30 am Physical Exam of Dialysis Access/Use of Ultrasound
Adrian Sequeira, MD - Hands on access exam and use of ultrasound to corroborate exam findings 

10:30 am – 11:00 am Break 
11:00 am – 11:30 am Renal Biopsy
Anil K. Agarwal, MD - Review indications/steps and Hands-on  practice of kidney biopsy/ultrasound model 

11:30 am – 12:00 noon Case Discussion 3: Is fistula mature? What can I do?
Dirk Hentschel, MD - Review common access dysfunction & options for interventions & outcomes
