As Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS) continues to grow throughout the world, so do the many applications. Discussing novel applications of POCUS to assess dry weight and kidney function reserve can have benefits to the greater community if they can be applied more broadly and effectively. To discuss these techniques Dr. Adrian Wong will bring in his knowledge of VExUS and its application to dry weight in the ACUVEX study; and Dr Nicoletta Mancianti will discuss the use of POCUS in assessing kidney function reserve.
Learning Objectives:
Describe the different needs of POCUS in resource limited countries
Discuss the efforts and limitations of POCUS implementation in Africa
Describe the use and effect of online resources in teaching POCUS in resource limited countries
Moderators: Andrew Moses (USA) Daniel Ross (USA)
