Certification

Certification: Documentation by the American Society of Diagnostic and Interventional Nephrology that an individual physician has met specified requirements for the performance of a particular procedure.

Certification is offered in the following areas:

Please note that certification applications go through a vigorous 3-step review process.

Applications are:

1) Processed and reviewed by the ASDIN office to ensure that all requirements are met. If during this process, there are deficiencies or issues with the application, applicant will be notified and asked to correct deficiencies or provide additional documentation. Only applications that have met ALL requirements are sent to the next step.

2) Sent to the ASDIN Certification Committee for peer review and evaluation.

3) Sent back to the ASDIN office for processing and formal notification of acceptance or declination.

The length of the process varies and depends on the accuracy of the completed application, how many certifications are in process, and the time that it takes the committee to review the application.
