FELLOW OF THE AMERICAN SOCIETY OF DIAGNOSTIC
AND INTERVENTIONAL NEPHROLOGY (FASDIN)


FASDIN Application for Class of 2026 NOW CLOSED
Apply for the FASDIN Class of 2027 April 1, 2026 - July 31, 2026

  • $300 Application Fee
  • New class of Fellows will be recognized at ASDIN Meeting each year
  • Designation valid while ASDIN membership is current. If membership lapses within a year, member must reapply for fellow status.


    COMMON CRITERIA REQUIRED OF ALL “FELLOWS”:

  • Board certified in your specialty (matches training)
  • Active Physician membership in ASDIN including continuously for at least previous 3 years
  • Attendance at least 1 of previous 3 ASDIN annual meetings


    CRITERIA DEMONSTRATING EXPERTISE

    (Must have 3 of 11 during the previous 6 year period unless differing timeframe specified within criteria below.)

  • Serve on ASDIN Council or documented participation on an ASDIN committee for a period of at least two years
  • Serve as an active JVA editorial reviewer for a period of at least two years or a reviewer of dialysis access/diagnostic imaging for a comparable publication to JVA
  • Continuing Medical Education(CME) - Complete a total of 40 hours of dialysis access, diagnostic imaging or radiation safety related AMA PRA Category 1 CME credits during the past two years (certificate documentation required)
  • Hold at least one active ASDIN certification in HVA, PD, Renal Ultrasound, Basic POCUS, POCUS of Dialysis Access or pAVF 
  • Hold an extramural grant for research related to dialysis access or diagnostic imaging
  • Publish at least 1 article in a peer reviewed journal related to dialysis access or diagnostic imaging
  • Present at least 1 podium or rapidfire abstract at ASDIN Meeting or present at an ASDIN-Sponsored webinar
  • Demonstrate active teaching activity of students, residents or fellows related to dialysis access or diagnostic imaging for at least 30 hours during the past two years (Letter from applicable program director is required)
  • Serve as Principal Investigator in at least 1 clinical trial related to dialysis access or diagnostic imaging
  • Provide a CME-approved lecture about dialysis access or diagnostic imaging in a regional, national, or international scientific meeting
  • Actively serve on board or committee of a recognized national or international organization related to kidney disease, dialysis access or diagnostic imaging for three years (Letter of verification required from organization)
