- $300 Application Fee
- New class of Fellows will be recognized at ASDIN Meeting each year
- Designation valid while ASDIN membership is current. If membership lapses within a year, member must reapply for fellow status.
COMMON CRITERIA REQUIRED OF ALL “FELLOWS”:
- Board certified in your specialty (matches training)
- Active membership in ASDIN including continuously for at least previous 3 years
- Attendance at least 1 of previous 3 ASDIN annual meetings
CRITERIA DEMONSTRATING “EXCEPTIONAL” SKILLS
(Must have 3 of 9 during the previous 5 year period)
- Serve on ASDIN Council or Committee
- Active ASDIN certification in HVA, PD, Ultrasound, or pAVF
- Hold extramural grant for research related to dialysis access
- Publish at least 1 article in peer review journal related to dialysis access
- Present at least 1 abstract at ASDIN Meeting
- Demonstrate active teaching activity of students, residents or fellows related to dialysis access
- Serve as Principal Investigator in at least 1 clinical trial related to dialysis access
- Lecture about dialysis access in a regional, national, or international scientific meeting
- Serve on board or committee of another organization related to dialysis access (ASN, NKF, RPA, ESRD Network, etc.)
