LEARNING OBJECTIVES

- Review the 2019 KDOQI Guidelines ESKD Life Plan and Access Plan
  (this includes all dialysis modalities)

- Demonstrate the KDOQI Guidelines for access monitoring utilizing the One Minute Check for staff,
   self or care partner

- Demonstrate the utilization of POCUS for the creation of a cannulation map and a cannulation plan
   (cannulation zones and angle of needle entry)

- Review of the KDOQI Guidelines on cannulation methods of rope ladder and buttonhole for staff,
   self or care partner cannulation

- Review the KDOQI Guidelines for identification of access dysfunction (including inflow/outflow
  stenosis, aneurysm/ pseudoaneurysm formation, AVF failure to mature). Also includes PD catheter

- Describe the common procedures such as fistulogram, PTA, stent placement and flow banding
   interventions. Also includes PD catheter

- Describe the common surgical procedures to treat access dysfunction
   (aneurysm repair, banding). Also includes PD catheter
