The goal of the track is to:

1) provide a meeting space for POCUS enthusiasts

2) share the latest evidence supporting the use of ultrasound in nephrology
*
The advanced course does not include a hands on component. This course features panels, lectures, updates, and case presentations for physicians already savvy in ultrasound.

HANDS-ON TRACK:

The Hands on track in point of care ultrasound (POCUS) is intended for nephrologists who are novices in POCUS and who seek to fulfil criteria for POCUS certification.

The goal of the track is to:

1) learn about the theory of point of care ultrasound exams

2) get supervised experience on how to perform renal ultrasound, volume assessment ultrasound (heart/lung/IVC) and the basic vascular access ultrasound

*The 8 hours CME of the hands-on track can count towards the ASDIN point of care ultrasound certifications found here.
