Abigail, these are nice techniques to get more veins to mature . But the e success rate in maturing the fistula is not provided.. So I suggest the authors follow up with an outcome study detailing maturation rate and number of interventions (if any) needed to get a functioning wrist fistula to be usable for 3/4 of dialysis treatments in the first month of use of the AVF. .
