Objectives:
Understand ESRD Lifeplan with focus on dialysis access
• Name AV fistulas and AV grafts
• Perform and interpret a 4- or 5-point dialysis access exam
• Understand physiology of maturation of a dialysis access
• Be aware of hemodynamic effects of dialysis access
• Understand individual clinical scenarios of dialysis access problems
• Be aware of options for interventions and procedures
• Gain knowledge about dialysis catheter associated issues and possible ways of intervention
• Be able to connect and disconnect peritoneal dialysis catheters
• Understand different clinical scenarios of peritoneal dialysis associated problems and be aware of
pathways for management
