ASDIN proudly hosted its 5th Annual Scientific Meeting in San Antonio, Texas where a variety of networking and educational opportunities were presented including exceptional speakers sharing cutting edge knowledge on a variety of topics in the field of diagnostic and interventional nephrology.
The meeting attendance represented a 40% increase over 2008, drawing more than 335 physicians, nurses, and technologists, as well as 100 exhibitor representatives. Many attendees noted how much they enjoyed and valued the ASDIN meeting because of the important personal interaction and networking experience with the meeting faculty and their colleagues.
Specialized breakout sessions were offered including an Associates Session specially designed for nurses, technologists, and administrators. Additionally, a Coding Session presented the history and basis for coding policy and regulation, with special emphasis in late-breaking coding news and future changes in coding policy.
The success of the meeting is a true testament to the growth of the discipline over a very brief period of time. The success of ASDIN’s Scientific Meeting should spur continued research and study in the field, as well as improved patient care.
