17th Annual Scientific Meeting - CME & CE Credit

 

ACCREDITATION STATEMENT
This activity is jointly provided by Medical Education Resources and the American Society of Diagnostic and Interventional Nephrology (ASDIN).


Target Audience:
This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of dialysis access health care professionals involved in the care of patients with dialysis access, CKD, and ESKD. 

Program Overview:
The ASDIN Annual Scientific Meeting is focused on the most up-to-date education in the field for both new and advanced dialysis practitioners.  ASDIN seeks to offer the most current dialogue/education on issues facing interventionalists (nephrologists, interventional nephrologists, interventional radiologists, and vascular surgeons) in all practice settings. This year’s virtual offering will provide the most current information on dialysis access during a pandemic, literature update, interesting case discussions, tunneled dialysis catheters, peritoneal dialysis, ultrasound, research, percutaneous av fistula, surgical dialysis access procedures, disparity in dialysis access and dialysis access innovation.  There will also be an Associate Session for nurses, techs, and administrators that focuses on implementation of KDOQI guidelines, the pandemic’s impact on vascular access practices, home dialysis, and percutaneous AVF.

Learning Outcome:
To improve knowledge and patient outcomes in the field of dialysis access.

ACCREDITATION

Physician Credit:

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by Medical Education Resources, Inc. (MER) and ASDIN.  MER is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the health care team.

ABIM MOC Recognition:
Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 21.50 (part II) MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine's (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.

Nursing Accreditation:
Medical Education Resources is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

This CE activity provides 21.50 contact hours of continuing nursing education.
