ASDIN MISSION
The mission of the American Society of Diagnostic and Interventional Nephrology is to promote excellence in dialysis access care to improve outcomes for patients with kidney disease.
CERTIFICATION
Documentation by ASDIN that an individual physician has met specified requirements for the performance of a particular procedure. Certification is offered in the following areas: Hemodialysis Vascular Access (HVA), Insertion of Peritoneal Catheters (PD), Ultrasound, Tunneled Catheter-Only and Percutaneous AVF Creation.

CONFERENCE
ASDIN's 22nd Annual Scientific Meeting will take place February 20-22, 2026 at the WDW Swan in Lake Buena Vista, FL. Program Chairs Rashid Sharaf and Mohamed Ali Sheta are leading the way with a dynamic agenda focused on pioneering global innovations in dialysis access.
MEMBERSHIP
It is the hope of the founders of ASDIN that the Society will be as inclusive as possible and still maintain the Society's purposes. There are several categories of membership: Physician North America, Physician International, Fellow, Associate (Clinical & Administrator), Associate Groups (Center), International Groups (LMIC), Emeritus, and Supporting.
Activities of the Society include:
- establishment of practice standards
- certification of physicians in specific procedures
- accreditation of training programs in specific procedures
- development of training tools and techniques
- sponsorship of symposia and training courses
- dissemination of information through periodic meetings and through print and other media
The American Society of Diagnostic and Interventional Nephrology was founded in 2000. The Society organized its first program in New Orleans in conjunction with the ASN Annual Meeting.
